Unable to find even a minimum wage job, she crosses the border to visit Rafi and falls in love all over again. Staying in Mexico is not an option for either of them but returning to the U.S. means Rafi will have to again pay a “coyote” to get him across the perilous border—this time in the 120-degree heat of the Sonora desert.
